Flowers have been a part of people's lives since our ability to measure time, all around the world. It's the UNIVERSAL language!

The very first flower ever to be represented in the arts may be the lotus flower. Ancient Egyptians adorned amulets, ceramics, and papyrus paintings with the lotus flower, which to them symbolized the sun. In addition to ornamental decorations, Egyptians also employed flowers as an artistic medium.

Flemish-born Dutch still life painter, Ambrosius Bosschaert, is recognised as one of the earliest painters who created floral still lifes as an independent genre. (1573-1621)
